About UsHistory of Angel Eyes ProduceAngel Eye Produce, Inc.’s founder, Andy Maslin, began as a large-scale produce farmer in upstate New York. In 2004, due to a devastating combination of too much rain and not enough sun, an epidemic of fungus and molds swept across his fields, destroying everything in its path and leaving Andy with nothing. This shattering event caused Andy to question his lifetime passion for agricultural, and he knew he had to do something about all of the unknowns that farmers are threatened with everyday. Andy had been successfully experimenting with indoor growing for a number of years, and realized that these types of problems never occurred in a climate-controlled environment. He dreamed up a large-scale indoor produce farm, which was never plagued by the problems seen by traditional outdoor farms, and therefore wouldn’t require artificial chemicals like pesticides and fungicides. The idea was to have a “super-grow building” in every community across America, providing safe and healthy vine-ripened, hand-picked produce to consumers year-round. Realizing that he needed another mind to help with his invention, Andy contacted Brooks Washburn; a local architect and graduate of Harvard and Princeton Universities. The combination of Andy’s ingenuity and Brook’s architectural acuity resulted in the patent pending Terra-Ponics design for providing high quality, pollution free, mineral enhanced produce to the people of the world. ![]() ![]() | |
